Location: Bergey's Collision Center, Souderton, PA

Shift: Full Time

Essential Duties:

• Examining vehicles to identify repairs needed
• Commercial truck (heavy and medium duty) collision and body repair
• Fiberglass and plastic repair
• Prepares the surfaces that need to be painted on automotive such as heavy duty trucks, medium duty trucks and passenger cars.
• Mix and apply primer coats after body repairs
• Ability to climb and work from ladders for paint sanding and spraying.
• Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated.
• Knowledge of paint mixing according to specifications. And computer scale
• Selects and mixes as per paint samples to produce desired color for matching.
• Inspects own work performed for quality of workmanship,
• Keeps work area clean.
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
• Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Upholds company standards of quality and safety
• 5 years of shop experience
• Experience using solvent-based Polyurethane and water base paints
• Solid Problem Solving Abilities
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Ability to work and communicate with the team
• Must be dependable
• Willingness to learn
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening
