Elastic Engineer SME
Key Role:
Designs, implements, integrates, and maintains systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities. Applies leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentors or supervises employees in both firm and technical competencies.
Basic Qualifications: \n - 5+ years of experience with Elastic Search, Logstash, and Kibana in a design or developer role
\n - 3+ years of experience with software tool integrations, including REST APIs, SOAP, and APIs
\n - 2+ years of experience in medium to large enterprise network environments with change board, documentation, and reporting requirements
\n - Experience with Cybersecurity in Network Security, Infrastructure Security, Applications or Systems Security, Security Operations, SIEM, Incident Response, or Threat Intelligence
\n - Experience with Kibana dashboard development, Kubernetes, and AWS
\n - Experience with search index management, including index templates and index lifecycle (ILM), performance analysis, and optimization or tuning
\n - Experience with query languages and writing complex queries for large data sets, and scripting and programming languages, including Painless, Python, or Java
\n - Ability to work on developing connectors with tools to effectively enable end-to-end automation of security operations procedures
\n - Secret clearance
\n - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Additional Qualifications: \n - Experience with Cybersecurity tools, including Tanium, Zscaler, Palo Alto, HBSS, ACAS, AWS Security Hub, NetSkope, CrowdStrike, FireEye, or ServiceNow
\n - Experience with Linux administration
\n - Experience with Networks and Network Protocols, including TCP, UDP, DNS, SSH, and FTP
\n - Experience working in DoD cloud environments
\n - Top Secret clearance
\n - Elastic, Security+, CySA+, or CISSP Certification
\n

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
