PDS Tech Commercial is hiring Gas Meter Exchange Technicians to support an Energy Aged Gas Meter Project in the Nashville area. This long-term opportunity involves field-based gas meter installations and safety inspections. If you’re mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and ready to work outdoors, this is a great chance to join a high-impact utility project with full training and support provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and remove existing residential gas meters
• Perform gas leak tests using company-provided equipment
• Repair leaks and build gas meter loops
• Install new gas meters and replace regulators as needed
• Conduct final meter tests and document installations using a handheld device
• Shut down and relight gas appliances safely
• Identify hazardous or abnormal operating conditions
• Communicate professionally with utility customers
• Meet daily installation goals and maintain high safety and quality standards

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment MVR check, background check, and DOT PHMSA-compliant drug screen
• Physical ability to work outdoors for up to 10 hours/day in various weather conditions
• Ability to use hand tools requiring upper body force up to 30 lbs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Adherence to all Federal, State, and Local driving and safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in natural gas field service operations
• Prior experience installing or repairing gas meters
• Familiarity with technology, computers, and software programs

Pay Details: 22.00 per hour
