⚡️ Journeyman Electrician – Residential & Commercial

Location: Calgary, AB
Type: Full-Time | Immediate Start Available

Are you a skilled, customer-focused Journeyman Electrician who loves solving problems, working independently, and representing your craft with pride? ElectricMan is growing and looking for a driven, professional, and reliable electrician to handle residential and commercial project work across Calgary.

About the Role

As the face of ElectricMan in the field, you’ll take on a mix of service calls and project-based work—including home renovations, panel upgrades, new builds, and light commercial installations. From troubleshooting issues to executing larger electrical projects, you’ll collaborate with both our field and office teams to deliver high-quality, dependable service—and leave every client confident they called the right team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Perform residential and light commercial electrical work (diagnostics, repairs, installations, upgrades, small projects)

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions

• Deliver clean, code-compliant installations

• Adhere to safety standards, building codes, and regulations at all times

• Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and team members

• Coordinate with the office/dispatch team for scheduling and job flow

• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and organized workspace

• Collaborate with contractors and teammates to meet project deadlines and expectations

• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry advancements

• Available for occasional weekend or on-call emergency work

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driving record required

What We’re Looking For

Licensing & Experience

• Alberta Journeyman Electrician (Red Seal preferred)

• Completion of a recognized electrician program or equivalent experience

• 3–5 years of residential and commercial electrical experience

• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and safety practices

Skills & Technical

• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities

• Tech-comfortable (Jobber, iPads, or similar platforms are an asset)

• Able to work independently and collaboratively on job sites

Communication & Professionalism

• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)

• Professional appearance and respectful client interactions

• Committed to providing 5-star service and building trust

• Reliable, self-motivated, and takes pride in workmanship

• High attention to detail—follows instructions and delivers clean, compliant work

• Teachable, team-oriented, and driven to grow with the company
