SALARY/RANK: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Communications, Film/Video Production, Marketing, or a related field. 1–3 years of professional experience in video production, photography, or digital content creation. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects and Lightroom. Strong visual storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences. Experience capturing both photo and video content using DSLR and other cameras. A creative storyteller who is comfortable working behind the camera and in post-production, with a strong understanding of content trends and a passion for reaching audiences in meaningful ways. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University's Mission, and a demonstrated commitment to that faith, through his/her professional responsibilities, relationships and the mentoring of students.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Photographer / Videographer is responsible for capturing, producing and editing high-quality video and photo content to support the university’s marketing and communication goals. This role creates compelling visual stories for a variety of audiences, including prospective students, current students, alumni, and donors, across platforms such as social media, digital advertising and the university website. Responsibilities include: plan, shoot and edit high-quality, engaging video content for use in marketing campaigns, admissions, fundraising and campus storytelling. Produce short-form videos for social media and digital advertising, aligning with university brand and messaging goals. Incorporate motion graphics, music and other assets to enhance viewer engagement. Utilize AI tools where appropriate to streamline production, editing and repurposing of video content. Provide photo and video coverage of campus events, marketing campaigns and university initiatives. Process and retouch images using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to meet brand standards. Organize and maintain the university’s digital photo and video library. Collaborate with the University Relations team to create timely, relevant content for multiple platforms. Stay informed about current social media trends and best practices, especially in visual storytelling. Other responsibilities within the University Relations Office may be assigned as needed.
