\n\nThe School Psychologist provides comprehensive psychological services to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of all students. This role focuses on assessment, consultation, and intervention to ensure every student has access to a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment.
\n\nResponsibilities:
\n\nConduct psychoeducational assessments to identify students’ strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.
\n\t\n\tInterpret assessment results and collaborate with IEP teams to develop appropriate goals, accommodations, and interventions.
\n\t\n\tProvide individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
\n\t\n\tConsult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement evidence-based strategies that promote student success.
\n\t\n\tParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings, eligibility determinations, and crisis response planning.
\n\t\n\tSupport the implementation of positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
\n\t\n\tMaintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and district policies.
\n\t\n\tContribute to school-wide initiatives that foster mental health awareness, inclusion, and equity.
\n\t\n\tProvide crisis intervention and threat/risk assessments as needed.
\n\t\n\tEngage in ongoing professional development to remain current on best practices and emerging research in school psychology.
\n\t\nQualifications:
\n\nSpecialist-level or Doctoral degree (Ed.S., Ph.D., or Psy.D.) in School Psychology from an accredited program.
\n\t\n\tValid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
\n\t\n\tDemonstrated knowledge of assessment tools, data analysis, and special education processes.
\n\t\n\tStrong consultation, communication, and collaboration skills.
\n\t\n\tAbility to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
\n\t\nPreferred Skills:
\n\nExperience with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
\n\t\n\tFamiliarity with PBIS, RTI, and MTSS frameworks.
\n\t\n\tTraining in trauma-informed practices or restorative approaches.
\n\t\n\tProficiency in digital assessment and progress-monitoring systems.
\n\t\n Work Environment:
\nThis position operates in a school setting and involves collaboration with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers. The role requires flexibility, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the mental health and academic success of all students.
