Role: We are currently looking for a passionate sales professional (Government Capture Management), with a strong business development mindset, coupled with a good grasp of data solutions, software analytics, and the financial services industries. The role involves expanding Moody’s Capture Management capabilities by identifying and pursuing qualifying opportunities to lead growth across the Public Sector segment and supporting the Government team’s strategic business development priorities. Analytical and research skills are important as you will conduct research and analysis on agencies, program offices, competitor contracts, procurement news, industry research, and data analysis. Responsibilities: Identify qualified Sources Sought, RFI, RFP, and RFQ opportunities through publicly available information and subscription-based vendor portals across Federal, State, and Local Government agencies. Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Business Development Reps across all Moody’s units to identify expiring competitor contracts for potential challenge or expansion. Develop a strong understanding of Moody’s product and value offerings. Assess client needs by researching their procurement actions, challenges, and objectives, and align Moody’s Analytics use cases accordingly. Conduct post-RFP reviews to document lessons learned and adjust capture strategies as needed. Assist in planning for renewals, anticipating RFPs and RFQs, and managing related paperwork. Lead the submission of multiple RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, coordinating responses with Legal, Marketing, Technology, Product, and Relationship Management teams. Develop and refine proposal content, including technical documents, resumes, and past performance. Evaluate proposals for compliance and effectiveness, ensuring submissions meet government requirements. Illustrate new functionalities to existing customers through written proposals, leading to revenue expansion. Represent Moody’s at industry and company-sponsored events as required. Provide forecasts and pipeline information to management. Minimal travel required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related fields. Strong process, planning, and goal-oriented skills. Proven analytical abilities and customer insight skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple deliverables. Creative problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and meet short deadlines. For US-based roles, the salary range is $93,600 - $135,750, depending on experience, education, skills, and location.
